Ideas are better when they’re shared. At SBW, we believe ideas are better when they’re shared, especially the ones that help people, organisations and communities do better things.
That belief sits behind The Good Stuff Exchange, our new insights and webinar series created to openly share the thinking, learning and practical experience behind communications that drive positive impact. From behaviour change and public health to recruitment and employer brand, it’s about being open, practical and collaborative with what we’ve learned along the way.
We will be hosting our first Good Stuff Exchange webinar this May, focused on a challenge we hear about all the time:
How to create high‑impact recruitment films on modest budgets
With recruitment pressures growing and budgets tightening, this session will explore how organisations can create powerful, effective recruitment films without big production spend. We’ll be sharing practical insight, real examples and smart approaches that put storytelling and strategy first, not shiny extras.

We were also proud to get the green light on a new three‑week campaign with Public Health Wales, focused on raising awareness of free support to help prevent and manage Type 2 diabetes.
Reaching more deprived communities across Wales, this campaign is about cutting through and connecting with people who need support most.
For us, impactful campaigns don’t just inform, they improve access. This work is a really important step towards making vital health resources visible, accessible and actionable for the communities that stand to benefit the most.
April wouldn’t be April without a little fun. This month saw the Bristol office get into the Easter spirit with an office‑wide egg hunt, complete with clues, competition and an impressive level of determination.
Congratulations to Tom, who claimed the ultimate prize after a particularly committed hunt. Proof that strategy skills extend well beyond campaign planning.
We’ve been filming with TriTech this month, and it’s well worth a look. Alongside a brand-new showreel on their homepage, there’s also a longer-form film that shines a light on the incredible work they do in support of the NHS.
Created to celebrate the past five years at TriTech, the film captures not just their achievements, but their ambitions for the next chapter too. Speaking with staff gave us a real insight into the passion and expertise behind the work, but it was hearing from patients that truly brought it home. The impact TriTech is having on communities across Wales and beyond is something quite special.
Take a moment to explore the new edits on their website and get a closer look at the difference they’re making.
Lauren and Rebecca were out on the road this month, visiting Heath and Llandough hospitals to share early ideas and plans on some new projects currently in the pipeline.
A big thank you to the Cardiff and Vale Health Board for the warm welcome and the opportunity to collaborate. We’re looking forward to bringing these ideas to life. Keep an eye out for more updates as this work develops.
This year, Leticia was proud to take part in Cardiff University’s Womentoring programme for the second year running, mentoring three Cardiff University alumni.
Womentoring is about sharing real‑world experience, building confidence and offering space for honest conversations around leadership, career progression and navigating pivotal career moments. It’s a programme rooted in the idea that access to insight and support can make a meaningful difference, something we strongly believe in at SBW.
That ethos is captured brilliantly in Cardiff University’s recent “Bossing It: Women empowering women” article, which highlights how experienced professionals are offering practical career insight to help empower the next generation of Cardiff alumnae. From backing ambition to demystifying leadership paths, it’s about passing knowledge forward, and doing it openly.
Mentoring is always a two‑way street. Every conversation brought fresh perspective, thought‑provoking questions and a huge amount of ambition, and we’ve loved being part of that exchange.
We teamed up with Working Wales to shout about their brilliant free careers review service. It’s all about helping people take that next step, whatever that may look like. From exploring a completely new career path, to finding a better work–life balance, or rebuilding after redundancy, the support is there to help people pause, reflect and move forward with confidence.
To bring these stories to life, we partnered with Jason Mohammad, a warm and charismatic BBC presenter with a genuine passion for education, mentoring and helping people grow professionally. He was the perfect fit to help us uncover real, human stories of career change from Working Wales clients.
After being made redundant, Stephen reached out to Working Wales for support, and within just a couple of months, he’d taken a bold leap and was successfully running his own business. It’s a brilliant reminder that change, while often unexpected, can lead to something genuinely positive.
And in a lovely twist during the interview, it turned out Jason and Stephen already had a connection, they went to the same school, with Stephen just a year above him. A small world moment that made an already inspiring conversation feel even more personal.
