Wildfires: a growing threat in a changing climate

With hotter, drier summers becoming the norm, wildfires are no longer rare in the UK, they’re an increasing risk to people, wildlife, and woodlands. The Forestry Commission needed a bold, bilingual campaign to raise awareness, guide behaviour, and protect nature, especially during Amber and Red alert periods.

The challenge:
turning alerts
into
action

We were tasked with creating a versatile suite of assets that could be deployed quickly during high-risk periods, empowering the public and countryside workers to take simple, responsible steps to prevent wildfires.

Our strategy:
urgency with empathy

We developed a rapid-response content suite for social media built around three pillars:

  • Connect: visuals showing the impact of wildfires
  • Engage: animations and carousels with safety tips
  • Empower: clear calls to action for prevention and response

Creative that protects what matters

We developed a bold visual identity using urgent red and orange tones, directional chevrons, and a tree-shaped lockup,
a design system that guided behaviour and reinforced the message that small actions can prevent big disasters.

Smart Spend.
Real Impact

We delivered:

  • Modular assets for seasonal reuse
  • Cost-effective formats optimised for reach
  • Accessible, bilingual messaging for all audiences

From awareness to action

This campaign turned awareness into preparedness. With a clear, bilingual message and bold, reusable assets, the Forestry Commission can now respond quickly during high-risk periods, helping the public take action to prevent wildfires and protect nature, season after season.
